Shes gives me food and gives a roof, God Bless!
I luv me dadder,
Who luvs me too,
He works, he works,
Like a washing machine,
He gives me hugs and hugs,
I love him too much and I might explode.
God Bless!
I luv me brother,

I respect him like he’s everything and he is the best!

Along The Horizon
Along the horizon there is peace and love
Calm, irresistible, captivating
Where all religions and cultures are one
No anger, no wars, no bloodshed
Along the horizon there is hope and kindness
Peaceful, supportive, kind
Where everyone is caring
No neglect, no cruelty, just love

Love and family
Life entwined
Open, honest, trust-worthy
Valentines bring us together
Everyone loves someone
You love me
Others love you too
Understood all the time
Respected by all of us
Father
All in harmony
Mother
In each others heart
Little brother
You are my family

Today 6zc have been making mouth-watering eton-mess! Making it was hard work (we spilt most of it) but luckily, there was enough for everyone. (We also got second helpings!) Firstly, we got some cream and whipped it untill it was stiff. Then, we chopped up the strawberry’s into quarters. Next, we added the crumbled meringues and strawberry’s to the cream, mixed and ate!!! 10/10 for 6zc! Grubs up.Today 6zc created some lovely peices of art wort. We copyed a Tilly Willis and scetched it out. Then we used oil pastals and coloured the picture in. As we coloured the art work we blended the oil pastals together. Doing this method you get a nice texture and makes your work look realistic.
Here are some of 6zc’s work….

Today 6ZC had a go at some performance poetry, we decided on the following criteria that we could assess the performances on.
1) Look at the audience
2) Alter the pitch and tone of your voice
3) Talk clearly and with emotion
4) Make it look interesting
5) Give it 100% confidence.
How do you think the performances meet the criteria? How could the performances be improved?

6ZC and 6AV have been having some egg-selent fun! (sorry, corny joke) We used newspaper, crepe paper, card, a plastic bag, a small piece of cardboard roll and a egg. In groups of 4, we attempted to create a parachute and a holder for the egg to sit in.
Half an hour later, our finished (well mostly finished) models were taken to the quad so we could egg-speriment with them. Miss Case stood on a chair and dropped the eggs. Sadly, very few eggs survived. Next she took them to the highest point on the apparatus. In the end(most eggs now in their graves) only 3 eggs remained alive. They had fought a hard battle and had survived.

On Monday the 16th of May 6ZC started a challenge to persuade the Lunch time cook to make pizza Friday’s pizzas more healthy and interesting. We started by doing some market research. ( Eating different types of pizzas.) 20 out of 28 children prefered the Sainsburys vegetarian pizza and only 8 chose the margarita cheese pizza.
We will keep you up to date on how our pizza challenge is going!!
Congratulations to all of Year 6. Having finished their SATS last week, we are all really proud of all of the children and how they have risen to the challenge of the last few weeks.
Thanks also to Zarah’s Mum who made us the most amazing cupcakes to celebrate! YUM, YUM, YUM!

Since the devastating tsunami in Japan on the 11th of March, people have been extending their thoughts and wishes to help the Japanese people recover from dark, depressing times. 6zc have been keeping Japan in mind by making origami cranes as symbols of hope and sending our love and best wishes to the Japanese people.
